Featuring beautiful deep chocolate tones and red wine highlights, Jarrah is native to Western Australia. 

This hardwood timber has been highly coveted for its superior strength and density, historically used for railway sleepers and even to pave the streets of London in the late 1800's.. True story!  

Our reclaimed Jarrah has been salvaged from Perth homes and buildings that have been demolished or renovated. We are so excited to bring this structural timber back to life for you to adorn your fireplace with and appreciate its story.

Please note, to get the 20cm (9 inches) depth, the Jarrah is laminated (joined) to give optimum space for displaying your decor.

SMOOTH SATIN FINISH:

Sealed in a High quality, German made, Satin water based wood sealer for a natural look. (Mantel in photos has Satin finish applied)  Our finish is second to none and so smooth to the touch!

*If you prefer high gloss finish, please let us know via email prior to ordering.

Some of our reclaimed Jarrah has rustic touches and others might have less.  Feel free to email us if you prefer cracks to be filled with clear epoxy or left natural for more character.

INSTALLATION:  

Can be installed onto Masonary/Bricks and Plasterboard/Drywall (into the timber studs.)

Ready to Mount - Includes wall rods with installation instructions. We can drill to match your stud spacings. We recommend 3 timber studs behind a mantel that is 130cm  (51 inches) Otherwise if still in the building process, you could install a horizontal timber noggin in between your studs for extra strength.  If you only have 2 studs, you will need to use extra support angles underneath the mantel. 

*Please check that your wall studs are timber, hardware will not drill into Metal wall studs.
