This is palest live edge timber we've ever had in stock!!

We only have about 30 metres of this gorgeous natural edge Himalayan Cedar in stock and don't know if we'll come across it again, so if you love it, grab some sooner, rather than later!

For lovers of all things coastal and beach, these are the shelves for you!  The creamy grain and light grey tones of the natural weathered edge, evokes the feeling of driftwood - a naturally whitewashed look.  It's also a great choice if you want your shelves a bit more lightweight. 

When working with Himalyan Cedar, it actually smells fragrant and on further enquiry, we learnt that the timber has been historically used for essential oil and incense!

It's also durable and resistance to decay.

**PLEASE NOTE PRIOR TO ORDERING**

Each shelf is made to order, so please note that there will be variations in edge and timber patterning. 

Also please note that some areas with natural indentations in the wood will be filled with Ivan's homemade wood filler, which comprises of the natural sawdust from the species of timber of your shelf and wood glue.  In some cases, we also use clear epoxy but this is kept to a minimum, as our woodworking style is more natural and solid and we prefer to limit the use of toxic resins with don't break down into the earth.

For smaller shelves If you are installing onto plasterboard, please make sure that you will have 2 timber studs for the shelf to drill into.

All our shelves include high quality wall rods with drill holes in the back of the shelf.

Our floating shelves are suitable for brick walls and also gyprock. 
If you have gyprock, the wall rods will need to drill into the timber wall studs.
(I can drill to match your stud spacing.) You will need a stud finder to locate the studs.
Just send us a message with the spacings from centre of stud to centre of stud.

Australian Standard wall studs are 450mm - 600 mm apart

*PLEASE NOTE: Our hardware will not drill into metal studs.
Please check that your studs are not metal, prior to purchase :)

**Please appreciate that the holes in the back of your piece are drilled by hand.  Drilling through timber takes a lot of strength, power and experience. This is not factory made, in fact its made at from our home workshop in the Perth hills.  So please note that the holes in the back of your piece may look a little rustic and this is what handmade  'human made' is all about! :)

EASY TO CLEAN LOW VOC FINISH:

Sealed in a High quality German made Matt/Satin water based wood finish for a premium natural low lustre.

Extremely Low VOC (Emicode EC1 Certification) and Non-Yellowing, remaining crystal clear over time.  Doesn't yellow like oil based finishes.

Also suitable for wet areas such as Bathroom and Laundry.  Easy to maintain, highly durable and wipeable, Our finish is second to none and so silky smooth to the touch!

INSTALLATION:  

Can be installed onto Masonary/Bricks and Plasterboard/Drywall (into the timber studs.)

Ready to Mount - Includes high quality wall rods with installation instructions for a nice strong hold.  We can drill to match your stud spacings. 

*Please check that your wall studs are timber, hardware will not drill into Metal wall studs.
